If you're planning a visit to Thassos Island, it's important to note that the island is only accessible by ferry boat. There are two ports on the island - Skala Prinos and Limenas (Thassos Town) - which are serviced from the mainland towns of Kavala and Keramoti. Whether you're arriving from Kavala or Keramoti, you're in for a treat as you make your way across the stunning blue waters of the Aegean Sea towards this beautiful Greek island.

Traveling from Kavala to Skala Prinos? You’re in for a smooth journey! The ferry takes approximately one and a quarter hours and operates up to five times daily during the summer season.
Upon arrival in Skala Prinos, follow the ring road in a clockwise direction, adhering to signs for Limenaria/Potos. Continue past Limenas and the other villages until you reach Theologos.

If you’re setting off from Keramoti port, you’ll find regular ferry services available, typically every half an hour during the summer season. The journey is a swift 35 minutes, bringing you to Limenas (Thassos Town), the capital of Thassos Island.
Once you arrive in Limenas, follow the signs for Skala Prinos from the ferry port. Continue your drive until you reach the picturesque village of Theologos.

If you’re flying, the closest airport is Kavala Airport (Megas Alexandros Airport), situated just 17 km from the port of Keramoti and near Chrisoupolis. This airport has daily flights to Athens year-round and hosts charter flights from various European cities during the summer.
Alternatively, you can land at Makedonia Airport in Thessaloniki. No matter which airport you choose, a short journey will bring you to the beautiful island of Thassos. From there, follow the directions mentioned above to reach Theologos and Theros.
